Then a hippo rolled up my driveway....

I only have two more posts to go and I'll be finished with the Switzerland Journal.
But I think everyone should have a chance to see the hippo that came to my house on Saturday for a Sip 'n See.

For those who don't know, a Sip 'n See is a Houston Hat Net tradition, where the hat ladies gather to sip wine and/or tea while "seeing" the latest hats that the club members have acquired or made.

To keep this post brief so I can continue working on the journal (and librarian work, ahem...) please click here to go to the Houston Hat Net Website to see all the fun.
Wish you could have been there. We all had fun.

Including the hippo.
(No I am not kidding about the hippo.)

Oh Jill you do know how to have fun. I wondered about the weather that day. I'm glad that it wasn't a rainout for you.
Did they bring their own hats are did they pose in yours? I recognized some of them.

Susan, the lady with the hat with the blue pansy, was modeling her own "Inga" hat, a Kate design. Each lady arrived in their own hats, but we always try on each other's hats, and any new creations that are available. The first Sip 'N See we had a house full and most people brought between 5 and 15 hats. We tried on hats for hours!
By the way, the car belongs to Sue, the lady in white with the hippo pin on her blouse, in case you wondered.

Congrats to you and your sweetie Kathy! Alaskan cruise this summer I suppose, right? I hope you blog your trip. Or at least post one of the zillion ship photos which always catch everyone looking like a prom queen.

Well, I just had a fabulous time at your place on Saturday ---- always fun! The video was super. I have now placed an order with Amazon for my own copy.

Your hats are so creative, and I am trying to pick out colors for our "class".

Onward!
