Happy Chinese New Years!

So...how do you plan to celebrate?
Going to Wal-Mart to buy more stuff that you don't need that was made in China?
Ordering out for Chinese food for dinner?
Watching a Chinese movie with English subtitles?

Me?
I dug into the back of my closet and pulled out my Chinese blouse to wear to work today.
Then I downed a Mexican frozen dinner for lunch and headed out the door.

It is the Year of the Rat.
When B. came into the kitchen this morning I told him so.
Apparently someone else was listening in on the conversation.

A few hours later Hart cruised into the patio with this now defuncted New Year rat.
Honest.
True story.

We have never had a rat caught around here before.
I have never even seen a rat around here before.

Hart: Every year is the year of the cat.
And don't you forget it. Now where is my red envelope?

LOL, Jill !! OK now.. knowing you I'm not quite sure I should believe your 'rat' story .. although I have found there is a law of the blog.. if you need the story it appears !!!

Love your Chinese blouse !! Very pretty on you !

Julie: Cross my heart and hope to die, it really happened that way. Tiggie was all excited but Hart just gave a polished shrug, and trotted back out to keep on hunting by the bird feeder.

Perhaps Hart is a Chinese cat and he realized he needs to undermine all the rats this year to bring back the Year of the Cat.

And seeing that "cat" rhymes so purrfectly with "hat" I must say: wow! Since the last time I dropped by you have been on a hat blogging extravaganza....some very interesting articles and hats.

I couldn't believe those were the Lennon Sisters today! How old are they? Aren't they older than us!!

How funny! Good for Hart! If he keeps this up, he'll earn his keep.

How did I celebrate the Chinese New Year? I stayed home and pruned, weeded, tilled, dug, and replanted four plant beds, watched the shuttle launch in a very cloudy sky, and made Chicken Piccata for dinner (neither Chinese nor a rat!).

This is perfect. I just love your cats determination to please you.

Oh and the blouse is beautiful on you. I really love that style on you.

We didn't think to plan anything and now I'm already hungry for nachos for dinner. Shoot.
