Eighth night

A Chaunukkah party downtown by the ice rink. Free skating, then candle lighting and treats.

Then home for our own candles.
Please remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
The Bible commands it...and says we will be blessed for doing so.
Psalm 122
A Song of degrees of David:
I was glad when they said unto me:
'Let us go unto the House of the Lord'.
When our feet stood within thy gates, O Jerusalem;
O Jerusalem, built as a city that is united together;
For there the tribes went up,
the tribes of the Lord,
as a testimony of Israel,
to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.
For there are set thrones of judgement,
the thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
they that love thee shall prosper.
Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
For my brethren and companions' sakes,
I will say now,peace be within thee.
For the sake of the House of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

Father, grant Your peace to each of us: to Jerusalem and to the world. May we each seek to do Your will and to know and love You. Amen.

Amen!

And, if I may, I'd like to add this from the Book of Common Prayer - Eternal God...So mightily spread abroad your Spirit, that all peoples may be gathered under the banner of the Prince of Peace, as children of one Father; to whom be dominion and glory, now and forever.

Perfect verse for these troubled times! It is so good to know, that God knows what is happening, and what will happen, because I sure can wonder about the craziness of the state of the world now. Your new president will need an over abundance of prayer as he makes decisions that will impact global events. Pray for peace continually.
