LOOK WHAT I GOT!!!!!!

We interrupt this vacation to bring you the best news ever:

I'M NOW A PAPER DOLL!!!!!!

with matching shoes even!!!!

Read all about it at Liana's paperdoll blog. I just adored her rendition of Min's Easter ensemble (heehee...guess you all now know that term means her entire outfit...) and Laura is just crazy about her mermaid paperdoll collection. Whee!

My shameless cajoling has been rewarded, and the stain of the humiliating defeat at the hat contest has been removed from my life forever. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Liana!!

I'M A PAPERDOLL!!!!!

(just wait 'til I tell those silly boys that are playing 36 holes of golf today. Pssff...there ain't no score low enough that could ever top this glory! I get bragging rights today!)

Travel Journal: Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Sing along:

"Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the moorrrororning..."

And so here were are, Bernie, Laura, Jeff and myself, in Carolina in the morning.
South Carolina that is, on Hilton Head Island.

We flew into Savannah Georgia yesterday, and then did the short drive over to Hilton Head SC.
Today are kicking back and getting serious about relaxing 'cuz it is gloomy and rainy anyway. The multiple jacuzzis have been visited, breakfast of bagels and lox has been consumed on the balcony, and vacationing is in full bloom.

The boys plan on two days of golf and we'll be exploring Savannah one day, and going over to Daufuskie Island another day. Charleston may also get a visit...we'll see how it goes.

I've already read "The Water is Wide" by Pat Conroy, a true story about the area, and we watched "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" to prepare for the time in Savannah. Librarian me loves regional reading as part of any vacation.

(Feel free to join in on the Jill's Vacation book and video club if you'd like. The book is great!)

Our living room for the week.

The view from out balcony. (If it displays twice it is because I'm not sure if one of the pictures loaded...)

The beach is just a short walk away.
It sure is funny to not have the sunset happen over the water.
And it is really weird to head east to go the beach!
I think we'll get used to soon enough.
Ahhhh...family vacations.
Talk to ya later...
