I just moments ago took a break from my get ready for moving preparations because I needed to look up brass doorbells (don't ask why...) on ebay,
and...
as long as I was there....
what harm could there possibly be in looking at the hat pattern that was on the ebay homepage under the banner "Ladyjillanna...you might be interested in this!"
Dang.
Ebay knows me waaaayyyy too well.
Isn't this adorable?
I especially like the matching hat and dress in black in the upper corner. That neckline has me in a swoon. Wouldn't that hat and dress be wonderful in a flirty floaty sheer floral fabric?
Especially for a garden party?
Sigh.
Maybe even as a Mother of the Bride or Groom assemble for an outdoor wedding? (sigh...nothing on that horizon yet....)
The pattern is from the 1930's and is available as a reproduction on ebay right now.
You can take a peek at the particulars and the bidding by clicking HERE.
Be sure to check out the seller's other fabulous hat patterns. Wowzah!
(must resist...moving...must resist buying more stuff..)

although that pink cloche on the left sure would look cute in black or red with my 20's outfit...
love you!
The pink hat is the one that caught my attention too. It reminds me of a photo of my grandmother wearing one very much like that.
1930's.. hmmmmm..that was some time ago !!
That's a good tip to keep in mind .. could save you a lot of money .."If I buy that , I'll have to pack it."
Go check my blog for more about millinery
*grin*
This pattern is one of "Vicvelvets" best sellers. I have been wanting it for ever so long. But, can't, can't, can't. Have too many hat patterns already.
Oh I do love the cloche style tied up. Hmmm, boy. . should I? I have about 3 hobbies I'd love to start. . all today. The post is great.
I can't wait to see your new hat that will be arriving in the mail from PEI. Congratulations on the big win.
Oh yes, I can see that floaty dress and matching hat at a garden party....
