Sneak preview

From "cry uncle" to "this might work."
I got messing around with it last night, so this is just pin based.
I think I'm getting there.
Millinery Inspiration abounds as it so often does on misty humid days.
But Information trumps Inspiration, so off to work I go.
Have a fun Saturday. See you later!

I think it is just beautiful. I love the purple fabric. Is it Organza? I had a deep purple organza for my sons wedding. I had no idea until I "met" you that millinery was still such a practiced craft and art. The documentary click that I watched the other day was so interesting. Honestly the only hats I see worn by women in Canada are toques. I think of ladies wearing hats as "southern charm".

Hi, thanks for you nice comment. I was fixing some stuff on that post where I talk about that fab book. To be honest I am learning a lot of new things and millinery is a new word for me. So, you work with them? These materials are really nice. See you again!!!!

Oh yes, and one more thing....thank you for recommending that nurse's blog. I seriously feel as though I hit the jack pot. I am simply giddy reading her posts and then checking out the blogs of those who comment. This is THRILLING!!!

This is a lovely hat! I would love this hat! I love the flowers! I have a hard time fathoming how it is all done. Prepurchased, craftily created, or Cinderella's blue birds floating about with ribbons, how is this done? I think I will watch the videos you posted last time! A new education for me is just waiting, I know it! What a wonderful tradition you are keeping alive!
