A fascinating place, to be sure. I think what I love best is that those old children's books have been taken out of storage - it would be fun to peruse those again. I remember reading all of the Oz books I could find at the little library in Carlsbad when I was about seven or eight. I wonder how many other people out there even remember them? You gave us a real librarian's perspective.
Sara at Come Away With Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07677354270954094291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-6408242599337463902013-12-16T22:04:45.521-07:002013-12-16T22:04:45.521-07:00Now that was a great library tour...with a librari...Now that was a great library tour...with a librarian tour guide! My favorite library is a very traditional one with comfortable seating and traditional aesthetics. That it is an ivy-covered stone building floats my boat, too. I might enjoy a bench that looks like an open book...an exterior wall? Okay. I'm a very old-fashioned gal. What do the locals think?Veehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00618654361869856894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-78377149537860548602013-12-16T08:43:26.956-07:002013-12-16T08:43:26.956-07:00Wow! I'd check this one out even for a shorter visit.
Lost in Canada??? I loved the dishes ...which I surely could use.
The amount of books in that building must just make publishers happy to think that people still want to hold paper in their hands. Let it always be so!Lovella ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/13870567090244361779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-73025337565394927192013-12-15T17:24:32.684-07:002013-12-15T17:24:32.684-07:00WEll it is very interesting to take a tour of a li...WEll it is very interesting to take a tour of a library with a librarian...
Glad you had a letter to take you home...ellen b.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14531430948905935301noreply@blogger.com
