Thank goodness you were not in this part of the world. There were Menno's all over the place.
Whew...maybe it will settle down, but remember we don't all look like that.
Hope your days get better.Marghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03309206778329712547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-20107239724688857382008-09-22T20:17:00.000-06:002008-09-22T20:17:00.000-06:00Hi Jill. The hurricane was over, wit no damage, but going without the power just did me in.

We got in about half an hour ago. I missed one class today. I'll be back to school and work tomorrow. Kingwood opened up today. North Harris is still closed.

I know what you mean about no paycheck. Although the school district is right on top of the employee checks, we have three checks from other sources that will be a couple of weeks late. That makes our monetary status somewhat fragile, to say the least. But we will make it. No doubt about that.

I hated to hear about your parking debacle. Definitely not my cup of tea--and obviously not yours either.

Well, I'll see you soon, through your wonderful blog. It feels wonderful to be able to read it again!

I'm going to sit back and eat a nice hot bowl of chicken soup and work on some well-procrastinated homework.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00043914505660475682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-69221343680621181482008-09-22T15:45:00.000-06:002008-09-22T15:45:00.000-06:00Thanks for taking us on a market tour! It must have been a nice for them to escape from their kitchens for a spell. I hope you did too.

Love that flower-filled window! It would be great on the patio.

And I notice the guitar man sat right by the ATM machine...wonder if anyone gave him a $20 bill?

Very cool beads and jewelry; the necklace you like is gorgeous, though for me, I prefer those longer necklaces, and the bracelet to the left.

What a wonderful place you have found to walk to every Saturday!Sara at Come Away With Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07677354270954094291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-89018104518075838812008-09-22T07:26:00.000-06:002008-09-22T07:26:00.000-06:00I love your quote of the Bible. . oh boy .. you ha...I love your quote of the Bible. .
oh boy .. you had the worst day. . and then the day ended with such a wonderful market. . .
I could feel your loneliness . . .and I'm glad you got Gail on the phone.
I hope you have sat and taken a rest and something soothing to sip. .poor dear.
Maybe I should order up some of those hats for the cooking blog girls. . did you see those at the market?Lovella ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/13870567090244361779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-77462327819366915452008-09-22T06:33:00.000-06:002008-09-22T06:33:00.000-06:00I am so thankful that your Saturday was a complete...I am so thankful that your Saturday was a complete turn-around from your lousy Friday!
