I like Lady Bird's choice - although I'm not so fond of the eagle in the center but I guess you have to be patriotic in the White House, don't you. Of course a beaver would look worse :)Islandsparrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04474765495506044446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-84103441925004894482010-02-25T14:02:04.999-07:002010-02-25T14:02:04.999-07:00I like Teddy's too but my absolute favorite is...I like Teddy's too but my absolute favorite is Mrs. Hayes'. My favorite is the Lincoln one with the purple band for over all color coordination and for having an eagle that doesn't just float but has a bit of an environment. Second is Lady Bird's. Love the wildflowers - but not the floating eagle.

Lady Bird would cry over the state of the freeways now. There doesn't seem to be the money to keep them as beautiful as she had in mind. We had a striking freeway here into Vancouver, but it's being widened and down go the huge trees and so long daffodils.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17099844850489313986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-70614366355805201992010-02-25T11:55:50.387-07:002010-02-25T11:55:50.387-07:00Actually not every administration gets to select c...Actually not every administration gets to select china. There has to be a need such as the old set being chipped up, or a need for a larger set arises.

I suspect Mrs. Obama will have a hard time coming up with a reason to select china since Mrs. G.W. Bush had two sets made (formal and informal) and Mrs. Clinton has a set made as well.

I guess you could say that with china pattern options: Them's the breaks!Thoughts on Life and Millinery.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15826496514403918108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29053672.post-72474661566779152332010-02-25T10:20:13.169-07:002010-02-25T10:20:13.169-07:00I'm with Ellen .. my favorite for sure.
